How to Use This Guide
Globalized education doesn’t involve a complete overhaul of everything we are currently doing. It means adjustments and enhancements to our current practice. This guide will offer examples and tips for achieving greater global competence for both teachers and students.
The Study section introduces some of the basics of global education: the technology available in our school system, some global education assessment tools, and some additional resources for learning about global education.
The Teach section offers educators some international project-based learning opportunities, a guide to resources available right here in the Washington, DC Metro area, and examples of how to globalize teaching standards including a sample globalized unit plan.
The Travel section contains my travel blog and a reflection on my research question completed during my 2015 travel to the Philippines with the TGC (Teachers for Global Classrooms) program.
If there are other resources that you would like to see as part of this guide, please send a message. I plan to continue updating this guide as I learn more. Please check back!
